I see the universe, a beautiful galaxy cloud in space, yet also a view through a microscope. I love the perspective shift my imagination takes when viewing these amazing creations.
Toxic Art is a short documentary about artist John Sabraw's latest series of paintings and collaborations with Ohio University researchers and engineers. Through different processes, acid mine drainage is transformed into the pigment used to create the large scale, environmentally conscious paintings. I was glad I managed to get to see his work at CC's I.D.E.A. Space - on the last day, March 5th. I must admit, I wish he'd been my painting prof when I was studying art at OU!
