Christmas Eve Delight

Pippin can hardly wait - presents are wrapped and under the tree! He wants to open them right away.

After a traditional dinner of oyster soup, we went for a walk to see the neighborhood lights. Then back to drink spiked eggnog and eat cookies while opening gifts.

Pippin went first and stole the show. He loved playing with his new toy, and of course the bag it came in!

Happy Winter Solstice

a light hoar frost covers our area this morning; the sun starts to shine brighter and the frost sparkles, and starts to drift and melt, during my walk

Bent's Old Fort

A fabulous place! All sorts of treasure to find, history to discover at Bent's Old Fort. They have a great little shop for holiday gifts, too.

The Thanksgiving Dinner

Happy Thanksgiving!

Chicken stuffed with Rosemary and Garlic

Pork sausage, apple, and sage dressing (my own recipe)

Green Bean Casserole (all made from scratch, all fresh ingredients)

Cheers! (with the Accumulation Winter Seasonal from New Belgium)

p.s. of course there were slices of pumpkin pie passed around while playing board games!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just pulled the bread out of the oven...

...and the pumpkin pie is cooling

... and the dressing is ready to go. Ready for Thanksgiving, tomorrow!
