Chicken Tortilla Soup

This was so easy and delicious! I just threw together a basic chicken soup in the slow cooker and when I got home for dinner, added avocado, cilantro, pepper, tomato, squeeze of lime juice and freshly toasted corn tortillas. Warm, soothing, yet still a touch of summer...

How to Stay Warm in November:

Make your own dry adobo spice mix,

(roasting the cumin seeds and using a mortar & pestle to grind it) 

while wearing a heavy sweater... whew!

Thrift Store Review: Foothills Flea Market

The Fort Collins Foothills Flea Market is one of my favorite places to get lost in. A large building with many stalls and all different kind of vendors and prices. There is always some fabulous find here -- happy rummaging!
