Day in Denver with Miss Q

C & I spent a day in Denver with the birthday girl and had a blast!

the day started with made-to-order donuts at the Jelly Cafe - yum!

Miss Q got the frittata sliders -- she loved the goat cheese and pesto one!

I ordered the eggs jennifer with peasant potatoes - delicious! C's southern biscuits & gravy left much to be desired.

Then we browsed the nearby used music store before heading to the Denver Art Museum.

My favorite was this interactive piece in the Overthrown: Clay Without Limits exhibit called "Footing" by Nathan Craven. The sound, the feel, the fun and weird shapes....

"You Are The Palace, You Are The Forest" by Jeanne Quinn

Another interactive piece with dizzying effects: "like the new past" by Anders Ruhwald

Next stop, Common Era -- a fun clothing store where Q found a cool top and sweater. We got our energy up for the trip to Fancy Tiger, thrift shops and home for tacos and card games by eating frozen yogurt.

I tried mango with a side of raspberry, topped with fruit and other odds-n-ends... fun! Self-serve can be dangerous at Yogurt Guru.
