Necklace to hold glasses

I recently made this necklace for my mom so she could have something pretty to hang her glasses from (between the scrabble games), instead of those chains that are always connected to the glasses.

(also referred to by my funny Sangria Sisters as a menopause chain)

Happy Mother's Day!

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."

Poppies!

These fuzzy plants were showing up all over the yard. I couldn't believe they were all poppies, until they started to bud. They're everywhere - lucky us!

Masks at MOCA Gala 2010

FCMOCA’s signature fundraising event, Masks at MOCA invites over 150 Fort Collins community members and artists to embellish ceramic masks. This fundraiser benefits FCMOCA's education and exhibition programs.

A tent in Oak Street Plaza was the location of the Live Auction -- always an exciting event!

Delicious food and lovely flowers were located in both galleries, along with a martini bar and wine bars.

Champagne greeted the guests on their arrival.

Orchid and candle centerpieces adorned all tables.
