I see the universe, a beautiful galaxy cloud in space, yet also a view through a microscope. I love the perspective shift my imagination takes when viewing these amazing creations.

‎Toxic Art‬ is a short documentary about artist John Sabraw's latest series of paintings and collaborations with Ohio University researchers and engineers. Through different processes, acid mine drainage is transformed into the ‪‎pigment‬ used to create the large scale, ‪‎environmentally conscious‬ paintings. I was glad I managed to get to see his work at CC's I.D.E.A. Space - on the last day, March 5th. I must admit, I wish he'd been my painting prof when I was studying art at OU!
